Privacy Policy

Summary

PitchTAC is designed with privacy in mind. Your game data is stored on your device and optionally synced via Apple iCloud. We do not collect personal information, do not use third-party analytics, and do not sell or share your data with anyone.

Data We Collect

Game Data — Pitch signals, game scores, inning data, pitcher statistics, team rosters, and opponent lineups are stored locally on your device using Apple Core Data. If you are signed in to iCloud, this data may sync across your devices via Apple CloudKit. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Health Data (Optional) — If you enable heart rate streaming in Settings, PitchTAC reads heart rate data from Apple HealthKit on Apple Watch during active games. This data is:

• Only collected when you explicitly enable the feature and grant HealthKit permission
• Used solely to display live heart rate to the coach during a game session
• Transmitted locally between devices via peer-to-peer MultipeerConnectivity (not over the internet)
• Not stored permanently, not uploaded to any server, and not shared with third parties
• Never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining

Peer-to-Peer Communication — PitchTAC uses Apple MultipeerConnectivity to send pitch signals between coaches and players over local Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. All communication is device-to-device. No data passes through our servers or any third-party servers.

Subscription Data — If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status from Apple StoreKit.

Data We Do Not Collect

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Account credentials (there are no accounts)
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Crash reports (unless you opt in via Apple's system-level crash reporting)

iCloud Sync

When signed in to iCloud, your game data may sync across your Apple devices using Apple CloudKit. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. You can disable iCloud for PitchTAC in your device's Settings > Apple Account > iCloud > Apps Using iCloud.

Third-Party Services

PitchTAC does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party service involved is Apple's infrastructure (App Store, iCloud, HealthKit), which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Data Storage and Security

All app data is stored locally on your device using Apple Core Data with standard iOS data protection. Peer-to-peer communication uses Apple MultipeerConnectivity's built-in encryption. We do not operate servers that store your data.

Children's Privacy

PitchTAC does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account, does not collect personal data, and game data is stored only on the user's device. Parents and guardians can manage their child's iCloud and HealthKit settings through Apple's parental controls.

Your Choices

• Heart rate streaming: You can enable or disable this at any time in the app's Settings. Revoking HealthKit permission in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health will also stop all health data access.
• iCloud sync: You can disable iCloud sync for PitchTAC in iOS Settings.
• Delete your data: Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. To remove iCloud data, disable iCloud sync before deleting the app, or manage your iCloud storage in iOS Settings.

Data Retention

Game data is retained on your device until you delete it within the app or uninstall the app. Heart rate data is only held in memory during an active game session and is not persisted. We do not retain any data on external servers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
